CTE Teachers Freshen Up at SkillsUSA Conference
Tolleson Union High School strives to make sure teachers are the best in their field for our Wolverines.
Business teacher and FBLA advisor, Richard Southern, and Digital Communications teacher and SkillsUSA advisor, Brighid Constable, attend a conference in Tucson, Arizona hosted by the national SkillsUSA and Future Business Leaders of America on Friday, Aug. 21, 2021.
As a new advisor, Constable hopes to incorporate the SkillsUSA pillars in her everyday curriculum. These include Workplace Skills, Personal Skills, and Technical Skills Grounded in Academics.
SkillsUSA veteran and facilitator Kelli Engelbrecht said, “I was impressed with the professionalism shown by the SkillsUSA instructors at the conference.”
There are more Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers on campus who incorporate SkillsUSA into their everyday curriculum. More information about SkillsUSA can be found on the Arizona website here.
